What does it cost to post a job?
The prices are in the pricing section above, with what each tier includes.
How long does a posting stay up?
For the run length the posting you bought includes, counted from the day it goes live. It
closes itself at the end so nobody applies to a role you have already filled. You can set an
earlier closing date, and you can close a job from your dashboard at any time.
What is the difference between the tiers?
Paying more buys a longer run and a better place in the results. A featured posting is pinned
above every other result in the searches it matches, its card is highlighted so it reads
differently from the ones around it, and it appears on the home page, for the whole of its
run. Everything else is the same at every price: Easy Apply, screening questions, the pipeline, CVs and messaging are the
same at every price.
Is there a free listing, or a free trial?
No. There is no free tier, no first-one-free and no trial. It is the same reason the board is
worth posting on: a posting that costs money is a posting somebody meant, which is most of
what keeps the results clean. If the price is the problem for you, write to
contact us and talk to us rather than
posting something you cannot afford to fill.
How do I pay?
By card at the checkout, or by invoice if that suits your accounts department better. Press
Buy to pay by card, or ask us for an invoice and we will send one with a reference to quote.
Your postings land on your account the moment the payment clears. They never expire, so
postings bought in March are still good in November. Everything is in Canadian dollars.
Do you take a fee from applicants?
No. Applying is free and always will be. No fee, no subscription, no "premium applicant"
tier, and we never ask a candidate for money, banking details or payment to see a job. If a
listing on this site ever asks a candidate for money, report it from the job page and we
take it down.
Can I post in French as well as English?
Yes. A French version is a second listing, so it uses a second posting. A multi-posting pack
is the cheaper way to do it if you post bilingually. Both versions sit on the board and people
find whichever one they searched for. To be straight with you: we do not translate the posting
for you, and we do not machine-translate it behind your back. The words on the listing are the
words you wrote.
Can you post it for me?
Yes. Buy a posting, then
send us the wording through the contact form
(paste the text of the job straight into the message box) and we will type it up, put it on
the board and link it to your employer account, creating one if you do not have it yet. The
form takes text, not attachments: if the job only exists as a Word document or a PDF, the
contact page carries our phone number and we will take it from there. It costs the same as
posting it yourself. You get the login and the candidates come to you.
When do I get a posting credit back?
A posting credit is used up when you press publish. That is what it buys. If we do not
approve the listing, the credit returns to your account. It comes back in two cases,
both of them ours rather than yours: if we do not approve the listing at review, so it
never reached the board at all; and if we take a live listing down for a rules or
policy breach. We are not in the business of taking money for a job we then refuse to
carry.
It does not come back if you close the listing early, if the run ends on its own, or if
you edit a listing that is already up. Filling the role in a week is the posting doing
exactly what you bought it for, not something to be refunded, and you can change a
live listing as often as you like without spending another posting. A draft you never
published has not used a credit at all.
Can applications go to my own ATS instead?
Yes. In step 5 of the wizard choose "Apply on your own website" and give us the URL. We send
the candidate straight to your form and count the click. The trade-off: we cannot see whether
you answered anyone, so those listings carry no reply record.
What exactly is the reply record, and can I turn it off?
It is the share of applicants you answered, measured from real applications sent through this
site and published next to your listings. You cannot switch it off, because that would defeat the
point, but you control it completely: answer people and it goes up. A rejection counts as an
answer. New employers show "no record yet" rather than a made-up number.
Full explanation.
Do I have to pay extra to see candidate CVs?
No. Every application on a listing of yours, including the CV, the screening answers, the contact
details and the message thread, is included in the price of the posting and is yours to read for as long as
the listing exists, on the cheapest tier as much as the dearest.
What kinds of jobs can I post?
All of them: full-time, part-time, permanent, contract, temporary, casual, seasonal,
internships, apprenticeships, freelance, one-shift gigs and volunteer roles. The evening,
weekend, overnight and hours-a-week filters sit on top, which is what brings in people looking
for work around an existing schedule.
How do you keep the board clean?
A person reads every listing before it goes live, usually within 24 hours, to confirm
the employer is real and actually hiring. Paying for a posting is the other half:
nobody buys a credit to run a scam listing for one afternoon. Candidates can report a
posting from the job page, and we remove anything that asks a candidate for money,
banking details or an up-front fee.
This is the whole reason the board is worth answering. A site running hundreds of
thousands of listings cannot read them, which is why a scam posting can sit on one for
days. We can read every single one, and while that is true we are going to.
Can candidates review my company?
Yes. Every employer gets a company profile with a star rating, reviews and all of your live
jobs, and one review is allowed per person per company. You can edit your own profile from the employer dashboard: the
about text, industry, size, website and logo.
